Summary of his thesis
The primary objective of my thesis is to develop a next generation of wearing course materials for urban pavements, considering functionalities of high permeability, low tire/pavement noise emissions, good thermal comfort (high albedo and potential evaporative cooling if permeable), and low rolling resistance, and at the same time have high durability and low environmental impact on the life cycle of the pavement. The results of this thesis will be used to provide solutions to improve urban quality of life, reduce climate change, improve resilience to climate change, and contribute to a circular economy.

What's next?
After getting my PhD degree, I plan to seek a post-doctoral position to continue my research. Based on my previous research experience, I will continue to devote myself to the pavement engineering field, contributing to solving engineering problems and achieving sustainable development.
